OJT? Please explain (with no apologies to Pauline Hanson).

Did the plane fall out of the sky? How many died as a result of this
flagrant breach of regulations??
Additionally, her hands and feet are nowhere near the controls, the
captain has gone for a leak, the PF (pilot flying) is the FO. She's
brought a cup of coffee forward and she just sits in the seat discussing
tonights party. Some idiot takes a photo and sends it to media and they
don't know any better.

First Officer also has full control! Hence, 1 pilot at the controls

Legal requirement forfilled.. end of story

There was an incident around 10 years ago when QF's Captain Lobwein was
demoted after pictures of a non company pilot graced the daily tabloids in
his Captain's seat (my recolection is that the passenger was an instructor
with the Camden Air Training Corps at the time).

Whether this stunt was legal is quite inconsequential (and it wasn't!),
and whether it was 'safe' is irrelevant (and it probably was)... It was
simply contrary to published Jetstar company policy. There's simply no
place for playtime in the business end of an airliner where pilots have to
essentially surrender their soul to SOP's and assimilate themselves into a
collective mould. There is very little room for creativity!

This precise practice was discussed at a CRM conference I once attended,
and the argument was orientated around pilots demonstrating contempt to
company policy of any kind. The question was... if a pilot is prepared to
compromise on SOPs on any level, at what point do they stop?

So much for that old adage... "What happens in the cockpit stays in the
cockpit". Whoever forwarded these pictures to the media likely didn't do
so over concerns for safety. This is, at best, an internal matter.

The more I think about this, the more paranoid I become. In the Web 2.0
world of Facebook, Myspace, blogs and forums - it's only a matter of time
before whatever photo you don't want the world to see will make their way
into a spoof 'MasterCard moment'. Any photo that's taken.. EVER.. could
someday makes its way into the public domain.

The stupid thing that these pilots did was not letting the hairy armed
hostie keep the Captain's seat warm... it was getting caught! The whole
"what happens in the cockpit stays in the cockpit" thing is difficult to
enforce when the evidence walks outside out the aircraft in electronic
format.

Apart from someone sitting in the left hand seat and ac being an Airbus, I
can't see any connection to the 'Russian prang'. Her hand and feet appear to
be nowhere near the flight controls and presumably, there's someone in
control of the ac in the right seat. I just don't see the problem here and
wonder why someone would dob the tech crew?

Now for something that pushes the boundaries of cockpit behaviour, have a
look at this link. the naughty FA starts flashing her tit's and panties
after about one minute, with the captain helping her out of her bra towards
the end. Note how it the FO is doing the filming and note how he's not in
his seat while filming the skipper is taking of the FA bra. She's got a
great set too, It's little wonder why the flight crew became a little
distracted.
