Absolutely irrelevant to the discussion mate.

Same same. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to read this thread
or the report to which it refers.

A report which had SFA to do with wood.

Until a certain show pony came prancing out of the mist which blinds
the eyes of those who live in the rarefied air of the academic woods
from the real world.

Airing his theoretical knowledge which obviously impresses some.

But had bugger all to do with the report as was made clear, I thought,
abundantly clear, to even the most obtuse - http://tinyurl.com/52ehz4

Defend him as you see fit Pits - but I repeat, the bloke is a
timewaster, a troll, who lives with Alice in Wonderland and is totally
divorced from the real world.
>IMO Your post brings you no credit . Buggers up a good aviation group

It certainly buggers it up no less so Pits than your troll.

He repeatedly hijacks threads with irrelevancys, purely to air his
theoretical academic knowledge and who will when challenged, resort to
any tactic whatsoever including outright lieing rather than lose a
debating point.

See above for example "The context is engineering and materials
sciences". Utter bullshit - it was not. Absolutely not - until he
unilaterally declared it so - 'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty
said, in a rather scornful tone,' it means just what I choose it to
mean, neither more nor less.'

And I've seen worse examples of this blokes outright lies.

Deplorable, contemptible, and a blot on the supposed reputation of
academic institutions as bastions of intellectual rigour.

FWIW Pits..I generally agree with yr position on many, maybe most
things but am really starting to wonder just how closely you follow
the finer points of some of the threads on here before you comment.

Bottom line - an otherwise useful thread was hijacked by academics on
an ego trip!
