Brian , I agree with the sentiments re the airport being there first
and it should stay there, but I do question the need for basic
training to be undertaken at such a busy airport as Moorabbin. When
you teach your kids to drive you dont take them to Bourke Street , you
find a nice quite area where they can concentrate on the basics of
handling the vehicle without having to worry too much about the
traffic. I think it does make sense to have the basic training say to
GFPT level done outside the major airports. As you know there are
plenty of places close to Melbourne where this phase of training could
be undertaken.
Geez I know in my training at Bacchus, just having those pesky gliders
around was off putting enough.
