Excel flying programs

For those that like to muck around with Excel, I have made some of my
flying progams available for download over on the Straight and Level
Downunder Forum. You can just go directly to the download page if
you want, or why not sign in and join the discussions. For those that
actually want to fly instead of just talking about it we even have the
occaisional fly aways. You wont find quite the level of expert
knowledge as on aus.aviation but you will find people with a real
passion for aviation.

I clicked around for a bit but couldn't work out how to see your forum.
What's a direct link to the forum? I've found a new forum home on the web
at www.flight.org but I might visit yours from time to time as well if I
can work out how to see it.

You have to register first. All the links are along the top of the
page, under the banner.

Perfectly understandable. We had to make registration mandatory because
we had a few spammers and porn posting idiots. Registering is too much
like hard work for them.

Just curious Brian, but why do you have an issue with registering? is
it a privacy concern ( you dont have to give out any personal
details) or is it just the "censorship " principle that someone can
decide who can and who cant post? I must admit I had some initial
concerns about the latter, but having seen the way the various usenet
groups have deteriorated, I believe its the way to go. But its a
personal choice, I hope you were still able to access the Excel
programs.
cheers

You don't get asked to give your name, or your location. You are asked
to create a username and a password. Nothing more.
But each to his own.

But users are providing a valid email to invisionfree.com which means
your forum will be swamped with spam - regardless of what their privacy
policy says.

Anyhow, there doesn't seem to be any spam-gadget-things that prevent
automated registrations so viagra ads and offers from Nigerian bankers are
likely to continue.

I guess you'll still get regos from people that want to visit - just not
from those that want to casually read.
