"[Judge] Walker said the incident could have been avoided had the
airlines let the passengers complaining of pain switch to open seats
with more leg room."

Next time I fly, I'll just complain of leg pain, and hopefully get
bumped up to business class.

I just wonder whether in the litigation happy USA whether the passengers
suing or the judges are the bigger clots!

Just what are the open seats with more leg room (apart from business or
first of course)? Exit rows? - the passengers seated there are supposed to
be fit so that they can assist others out in the event of an emergency, not
ones who are whingers about leg pain.

There's an easy fix for that.
Stop issuing tickets to fatties on medical grounds. It would certainly make
travel for us skinnies a lot more comfortable. No more fat bastards oozing
and overflowing into my seating space.
