Just received an email with a wmv attachment. Guy's on a beach somewhere.
Suddenly a B737 appears overhead really low and banking. It just clears some
buildings and disappears from sight. Next thing it appears as it comes from
behind the buildings, following the shore line of the beach then it ditches in
the water.
Looked spectacular.
Any of you guys aware of this one?

That would be the Ethopian hijacked 737 (1996) which ran out of
fuel. Story is that hijackers were still fighting with the pilots as
it crashed. It hit a wing first then rolled and broke up. 52
survived out of 175.

I thought it was a 767 as well, ditched near a remote island in the Indian
ocean off the coast of Tanzania, I think from memory. I believe some
tourists saw the aircaft come in and break up on impact. Several pax
survived by swimming out of the submerged parts of the aircraft.
