I'm always curious who the Australians think are likely to mount on attack on
them.

Suggestions ?

Well they seem to be preparing for an attack by "Redland" every second
year or so :-)

I imagine that's the codeword they use for the 'enemy forces' ?

Seriously though, about the only country nearby that might conceivably mount an
attack on Australia is probably Indonesia. Now, if Indonesia wants to get the shit
kicked out of it by Australia's allies I suppose attacking Australia would be one
way to do it.

I can't coneive of any real world situation in which such a thing would happen.

Let's assume it would be an Asian nation, and assuming they were using AC,
it would have to pass Singaporean and Brunei military umbrellas before
getting anywhere near Australia. I would have thought with the early warning
defence systems in place as we speak it would be nigh inmpossible to mount
an attack on Australia by steatlh. Unless ofcourse you're flying say a 310
out of Indonssian territory and fly at 500ft all the way into the Kimberley
and do a drop at night.

Indonesians? It would be stupid, of course, but no worse than Rummy and
the Dummy taking us into Iraq.

Cheers

At least it's quicker to say than "orangeland".
