Apollo bay strip

Hi, I'm looking to take a trip from ymmv to Apollo bay in a few weeks
time for a night stay. I can't find any details on the strip and was
hoping someone could point me in the right direction, and any advice
on landing there greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Brad

A single bitumen strip. Have flown over several times but never
landed. A mate who has, phoned the council as per number below and
they knew nothing about it. He got on to one of the scenic flight
operators and they told him they werent aware of permission required
either and to just land.

My Tas/Vic guide says 09-27, 720m gravel (that might have changed),
windsock and "Dry Weather strip only". Beware power lines (these are
shown as in front of rwy 27), fences and rising terrain western end".
Permission required from Shire of Otway.

From memory it looks a little like a one way strip to me for take off
(ie Easterly direction with the slope but it does not say that in the
guide so I guess its not). well worth a call to Shire of Otway or the
guy that runs the flying ops there.

Boys from TDN and LIL were down there on Sunday.

The Cessna 172M and the Cherokee 180 took off downwind over water, the 2
Archers took off toward the hills into wind, with a RH turn to miss the
hills, all no problems.

I have the strip details here somewhere, let me know if more needed.
