While listening to various debates and many "dorothy dixers" today during
Parliamentary Question Time in the house of Representatives, the Federal
Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner in answer to an unrelated question, stated
that, "Ansett collapsed because of the pervious Governments refusal to allow
Singapore Airlines to buy it.

I have sent Mr. Tanner the following note:

Mr. Tanner,

Further to your, what I consider, gratuitious and incorrect comment, in
relation to the Ansett collapse during Question Time today 28th August 2008
in which you blamed the former Government for Ansett's collapse, perhaps
you'd care to read and maybe comment on the following link:

others may have a different view as to why Ansett "collapsed" and may like
to inform Mr. Tanner accordingly.
