Cameras never lie ?
this one has me stumped unless the frame rate of the filming camera is
synced to the main rotor RPM but it still looks wrong

Pretty neat clip all the same

It would need a very small exposure time to give such detail to the
blades. I'm thinking some sort of fakery.

Interesting technology - my last camera was an 8mm, so that's the extent of my
exposure to cinematography :) I suppose one would have to be constantly
adjusting the sync. as the rotor RPM would vary a little when varying flight
loads were applied (droop) even given that the turbine is governed - turns,
climb/descent (pitch changes from collective and cyclic) and etc will have the
govenor "hunting" to maintain a constant RPM.

Same here - dad had a wind-up Bell & Howell standard 8mm - silent (no sound
track)
It still works, but I doubt that you could buy the film these days.
