you are right in hindsight.
unfortunately I think it shows two pilots cooperating together to sort
out a problem in what would be the best of situations normally ...and
being caught out by it.
it is interesting how situations can alter the interpretation.
I see a pilot on the occasional flight with one small airline pop back
to the cabin and have a coffee with the hosties. this must do wonders
for the confidence of the first officer being left to fly the jet solo
and it isnt bad for staff attitudes to be treated as esteemed equals
in the company.
I watched the last visit and thought that if the first officer had one
little DVT and it moved we'd all be stuffed. I sat there thinking 'the
hostie is a lovely girl but finish your coffee and get back there
mate'.
it would only take one hiccup for the whole scene to come undone.
