AIRCRAFT maker Airbus reviewing of production plans for the A380
superjumbo but says it is is still confident of being able to deliver
on time.

Deliveries of the world's largest airliner have fallen almost two
years behind schedule after a series of industrial mishaps since 2005,
and the reputation of parent EADS is seen at stake as it strives to
deliver 13 planes this year.

"I am currently conducting a major review of the (production) ramp-up
plan,'' Airbus chief executive Tom Enders said.

"We are conducting a review right now, (it) might well be that we
achieve that,'' he said in response to a question on whether Airbus
would achieve its delivery targets.

Airbus's targets called for 13 deliveries of the 525-seat,
double-decker passsenger plane in 2008 and 25 in 2009.

"This is a very steep ramp-up and this is something one always needs
to be concerned about,'' he said.
