Description: Job Overview: Manages and drives the overall Manufacturing IT Operation at the Grand Island site within Life Technologies. This individual is responsible for day-to-day management of those operations and associated team. The IT Organization lead by this candidate will act as the conduit for IT Service Delivery between the Grand Island Site, our Divisional Business Unit Leaders and other Corporate IT Teams ensuring priorities are set and delivered based on Site needs and sound Business Justification. Additionally, this individual will play a lead role in setting, evolving and executing the overall company and Divisional Manufacturing Systems Strategy in the areas of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Shop Floor Control Systems, and overall Manufacturing Systems Automation.
Scope of Activities: Lead the creation and evolution of the Site and Global Manufacturing Systems strategy leveraging existing IT strategies and platforms to Automate, standardize and simplify Divisional IT Operations. Playing the primary role in representing Site IT needs including the day-today tactical Manufacturing Operations for Information Technologies
Analyze the current application integration landscape and make changes as necessary in support of the overall IT application integration strategy. Manage a small team of Business Analysts, Project Managers and Developers. Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and project development teams in other parts of IT and the company to gather requirements and develop the appropriate integration services to meet business needs and project requirements. Lead and govern the creation and maintenance of proper documentation of all system interfaces and services within the site and drive improved stability and performance of the IT systems
Manage project schedules and coordinate with the IT PMO to execute integration development projects and activities. Lead and be fiscally responsible for the IT application integration budget including both operating expense and capital/project budgets. Develop and lead the application integration governance strategy. Ensure all system interfaces are accurately and appropriately functioning across the enterprise ? escalating issues and communicating effectively when necessary. Develop, drive and communicate system metrics and key performance indicators to track risks, trends, and opportunities related to Operational performance. Align and develop the application integration vision for the Grand Island site ensuring alignment with the overall IT Enterprise Architecture.

Required Skills and Credentials: Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. ? 5-8 years of experience leading & managing IT teams Prior leadership experience in a physical, virtual and matrix environment a must.
LEAN Manufacturing, Digitial Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
