Major Duties & Functions Provide technical leadership to government clients in the area of network architecture and operations for satellite-based communications networks, Assess customers vision and needs to develop and document forward looking network architectures and operational strategies for integrating terrestrial (voice and data) and satellite communications networks. Apply standards, commercial best practices, and knowledge of COTS / GOTS products in the creation of effective solutions. Work on a variety of task within multiple teams. Qualifications You Must Have Possess and be able to apply experience and knowledge in most of the following areas: - Network and Over-the-Air protocols - Operations Processes and Data Architectures supporting planning and engineering, fulfillment, assurance, accounting, and security management - Network technologies such as: IP, VPNs, ATM, Ethernet, MPLS, SONET/SDH, FTTx, xDSL, IMS, Satellite, Wireless, etc. - National Security/Emergency Preparedness services such as GETS and WPS To qualify you will: - Be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can articulate the value of the approach and solution to the customer - Work well in a team environment providing guidance to less experienced team members - Be self-guided and work well with minimal direction - Possess good interpersonal, customer facing, communication, and presentation skills - Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
