Qualifications You Must Have The succesfsul candidate will be able to 1) Provide technical leadership to a variety of commercial and government clients in the area of service and network management. 2)Assess customers vision, needs and current operations environment to develop and document operational strategies, functional management requirements, gap assessments, and transition plans for the management of complex heterogeneous networks and the services they support. 3)Apply standards, commercial best practices, and knowledge of COTS / GOTS products in the creation of effective solutions. 4)Possess a minimum of a BS in Computer Science or related discipline and be able to apply experience and knowledge in most of the following areas: -Network and Service Management Standards including: ITU-T TMN, G.805 and G.809 Network View; TMF eTOM, MTNM, NGOSS; IETF; ITIL; 3GPP -Operations Processes and Data Architectures supporting planning and engineering, fulfillment, assurance, accounting, and security management -Structured Analysis and Use Case development: UML, DODAF -Management Interfaces and Protocols: CORBA, SNMP, XML, JAVA, SOA, EMS-NMS, Element View, OAM, LMI -Policy and rule based management -Management of QoS and Service Level Agreements -Network technologies such as: IP, VPNs, ATM, Ethernet, MPLS, SONET/SDH, xPON, FTTx, xDSL, IMS, Satellite, Wireless, etc. -Inter-domain management: Customer Network Management, Electronic Bonding, Service Order exchange Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
