Responsibilities: The Director of Marketing Strategy is the customer and partner filter for ALL marketing communications to ensure in store and out of store alignment and effectiveness - incorporates business needs, larger brand goals, customer data, marketing effectiveness and budget parameters into the marketing planning process. - translates above into annual and seasonal briefs for creative teams - partners with media to plan media mix against long-term goals - partners with account management to plan flow of in-store marketing and windows - partner with internet team on planning flow of online messages, email and direct mail - owns and manages planning of annual and seasonal marketing calendar, including re-allocating tactics & strategies based on changes in brand, business or consumer needs. - determines annual and seasonal retail promotion strategies - translates key business initiatives into tangible consumer benefits. This will include coming up with localized marketing plans to support localized store strategies - plans the messages and timing for all marketing activity. - works with retail and planning to identify promotional time periods (eg. Easter) and objectives (eg. UPT, Market Basket, Order Size, Category Specific) - leads annual budget planning - owns marketing investments across In-Store and Out-of-Store - determine budget allocations by vehicle and quarter Channels: - Retail - Wholesale - Licensing - Outlet - International Brands: - Kate Spade - Jack Spade
Qualifications: 5-10 years Retail Marketing experience
