Home Loan Manager

Primary Responsibilities Include: . Driving sales, profitability and day-to-day management-goals for the office . Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with realtors and other key constituent-groups . Serving as a resource for complex issues . Providing support during times of peak volume . Supervising the work of the Assistant Office-Manager and the Home-Loan Consultant . Developing and implementing the business-development plan . Ensuring compliance with regulatory-agency and company guidelines . Handling the hiring, firing, training, reviewing and, when appropriate, disciplining of staff members . Offering guidance in business-development techniques (including pre-qualification calls and in-bound telemarketing) . Underwriting loans, as necessary, and reviewing necessary pre-closing items and conditions

A Successful Candidate Will Have: . High school diploma or equivalent . 5+ years of experience working in a mortgage-lending environment—with specific knowledge of the selling, marketing, underwriting, pre-qualifying, reviewing and analyzing of loan-origination Staff-supervision experience . Broad knowledge of the mortgage industry, mortgage-lending practices, underwriting and other quality standards . Understanding of local, state and federal laws (i.e. TILA, ECOA, etc.) . Knowledge of relationship-selling, staff-training and staff-development fundamentals . Knowledge of business-plan development and tactical implementation . Knowledge of computer software . Ability to manage while working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess: . Bachelors degree . Experience as a retail-lending Office-Manager . Experience with strategic-plan development and implementation . Experience in devising goals within approved corporate guidelines . Ability to develop budgets in order to meet performance goals and stay within upper-management-approved guidelines . Proven leadership skills—with the ability to motivate, evaluate, coach, train, hire, terminate and successfully handle all personnel issues of assigned staff . Effective comprehension, negotiation, presentational and verbal/written communication skills
