Position Purpose: To support Credit Administration with Documentation, Closing and Settlement of bank debt in the primary and secondary markets and processing of Standby Letters of Credit under syndicated and bilateral credit facilities. Key Accountabilities: . Review trade tickets posted on ELTA for accuracy. Document any discrepancies and correct the ELTA ticket. . Enter the trade on ClearPar or Trade Settlements Inc. (outside settlement service providers). If trade cannot be settled on ClearPar or TSI, prepare trade confirmation and send to counter party. Confirm and document any changes to the confirmations with the trader. . Review credit agreement assignment provisions to determine eligibility of assignee and borrower consent requirements. . Prepare bilateral or tri-party netting agreement if trade(s) is to be netted with counter party(ies). . Prepare Assignment Agreements and funding memos. . Work with internal and external counsels on documentation and settlement of Distressed trades. . Provide prompt and accurate settlement instructions to Global Loans Administration. . Review syndicated credit agreements under which Royal Bank is the fronting/issuing bank; Prepare fronting sheet capturing salient elements as they apply to Credit Administration. . Resolve identified credit agreement issues with Agency Services, in-house/outside counsel, corporate banker and CTM. . Issuance of Standby Letters of Credit (LCs), amendments thereto, examine documents presented under the LCs and decision payments, all in accordance with the international standard banking practices. . Verify the transactions listed above processed by associates. . Review and promptly act on the Daily Fees Due Today Report, Auto Renewal Report and Loan Fee Delinquency Report. . Ensure that any adjustments to fee accrual and P&L are properly authorized and reported to NY Finance. . Maintain accurate record of fronted LCs, promptly record mitigated risk for RWA purposes. . Ensure that all transactions processed comply with KYC and AML guidelines, Anti-boycott compliance, OFAC, FinCEN, USA Patriot Act and other sanctions imposed from time to time by various government/regulatory agencies. . Meet or exceed the service delivery expectations in terms of quality and timeliness as measured against department service standards, market standards and feedback from clients, relationship managers and counter parties to the trades. . Work with GLFMS/ACBS Support Group to implement new and enhance existing processes. Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): . Knowledge of LSTA Terms and conditions on Par and Distressed trades and other market conventions applicable to loan trading. . Thorough knowledge of all aspects of letters of credit and ability to interpret and apply various related rules, regulations and applicable law. . Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, organization and communication skills. . Ability to apply technical solutions to business problems. .
