2. JOB PURPOSE Manage designated customer accounts and negotiate and facilitate ad hoc licenses. Develop new customer relationships, manage key accounts, and achieve set financial targets in designated markets and customer groups. Maximize BBCWA income from the BBC and third party assets through the marketing and licensing of library program extracts and stock shots/footage to producers in all facets of television, education, feature film, and home entertainment production with a focus on new business. 3. DIMENSIONS . Focus primarily on entertainment/editorial accounts . Work within a team environment . Close sales on incoming requests . Achieve and exceed assigned sales target . Attend a minimum of 4 customer meetings per month . Make a significant amount of cold calls per week

4. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES . Manage designated customer accounts to achieve set financial targets. . Ensure consistent business practices and development and completion of innovative business deals. Develop appropriate long-term business strategies with Associate Sales Directors . Network with potential clients, build relationships, and expand the business NATURE AND SCOPE a) JOB CONTEXT The focus of the role is to manage designated customer accounts and negotiate and facilitate ad hoc licenses up to an identified financial maximum that suits the local office requirement. The role will also be expected to undertake both research and rights clearance work in support of customer account management role. b) POTENTIAL CHALLENGES . Distance from home office and source material. . Rights and clearances issues with broadcast material . Turnaround time on deliverables of research, screeners and master material c) PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION Guidelines are received principally from the London HQ, as well as from our Senior Vice President, Americas. Those guidelines are then adapted for the New York staff and to ensure that they serve the Eastern US Region client base in the most relevant and efficient manner possible. Strategic planning is an important requirement both within the New York office, Los Angeles, Toronto, and ultimately the UK office. d) DIRECTION RECEIVED . Daily contact with Associate Sales Directors, Sales Manager, Sales VP and Account Executives to discuss on-going sales related tasks and strategies e) WORKING CONTACTS . Associate Sales Directors . Sales Manager . VP, East Coast . Director of Operations . Sales Account Executives . Production Coordinators . Operations Manager . All Motion Gallery clients and vendors in the Eastern US . UK support staff - Commercial Rights, PPR, Rights Archive, BBC Legal, etc. . Various out-of -house technical support staff . Various clients in production related fields including researchers, producers, editors, etc.

7. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE . Industry sales experience of at least two years preferred . Knowledge of the media industry, production procedures and a developed interest in new technologies . Existing client base of relationships within the clip/stock footage sales business in the Eastern US market preferred . Excellent computer skills . A minimum of a 4-year College Degree . Strong negotiation and relationship development skills . Eager, aggressive work ethic DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: . Achievement of set revenue targets . Negotiation of ad hoc licenses . Manage and provide research to customers from the BBC archive, the CBS archive and all BBC represented archives . Coordinate delivery of technical materials with Production Coordinator . Provide all relevant clearance information to customers to allow them to undertake clearance of all third party contributors as required by the BBC . Maintain adequate sales records and undertake creation of customer licenses through appropriate database . Check all invoices before they are dispatched to ensure their accuracy . Undertake credit control and ensure that all aspects of customer account financials are accurate and up to date . Ensure that all third parties reporting are undertaken (e.g. CBS, etc.) . Attend all required company and external training courses . Participate in team meetings and team activities . Undertake customer visits and attend four new customer meetings per month . Contribute to the development of a customer sales strategy . Provide research and customer service assistance to customers using www.bbcmotiongallery.com . Market the archives to customer base in conjunction with the BBC Motion Gallery team
