This is an opportunity to join a talented and committed team of public health professionals specializing in the areas of public health assessment, planning, surveillance and detection, community education, training, and administrative management. Job Description & Experience: We are seeking a Programmer for our HIV Care Services Project. Salary for this position is $61,000. The HIV Care Services project administers approximately $130 million in federal and City HIV/AIDS care and prevention funding under a contract with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH). HIV Care Services has funded services for people living with HIV/AIDS under the federal Ryan White Treatment Modernization Act (also known as the CARE Act) since 1991. Currently, HIVCS manages more than $100 million in Ryan White funding and has over 200 contracts with more than 150 community-based organizations, hospitals, clinics, mental health clinics and other organizations that provide direct services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Ryan White-funded services include primary and specialty medical care, mental health services, case management, food and nutrition services, housing, substance abuse services, supportive counseling, treatment adherence, legal advocacy and early intervention. Responsibilties include: Development, maintenance and documentation of web-based application(C#, ASP.net), SQL Server Stored procedures and other database objects, and reports using SQL Server Reporting Services Participation in systems analysis and design efforts regarding user interfaces, definition of process specifications and design of application structures. Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or other relevant discipline A minimum two years technical experience, developing web-based or client/server software solutions, and developing on a relational database platform
