Job description The IP&S (Info Platform & Sols) business area is a global sales org. Responsible for building Info. Integration solutions for customers globally. We help customers revolutionize their businesses by implementing a solid capability to understand, clean, transform & deliver relevant information to the business users. As an IT Specialist, you will provide customers, prospects, & IBMers with in-depth technical product assistance during the sell cycle of our solutions. Using your technical and customer management skills, you will work with a team of sales/pre-sales reps to achieve revenue goals. As the IT Specialist, you will lead the enablement efforts & support solution design for multiple clients. You will also educate & influence customers on architecture & business value of hosting new workloads on System Z (vs. distributed or competitive platforms). Can be located in any major US city near a major airport . Major Field of Study: Computer Science . Work with local teams to support complex customer opportunities . Conduct product installations and demonstrations . Define and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) . Ability to qualify technical requirements in customer situations . Excellent writing, communications, presentation & interpersonal skills . Confidence & ability to interface professionally with all levels of clients .
