This position exists to create revenue, gain industry contacts and to learn about trends/products/services helpful to clients. The result is that advertisers have the opportunity to promote their products and services repeatedly during the year to generate company and brand awareness from the industry and gain new business from our readers/subscribers. Job Requirements . Initiate sales calls to new accounts and grow advertiser base for assigned territory . Maintain active and professional contact with all current accounts within territory . Actively renew existing accounts . Work with Publisher to establish specific goals relating to advertising sales, trade shows, schedules, account contact, letter writing and other follow-up procedures, call reports, etc . Submit a call report for all in-person and prospecting calls on a weekly basis . Submit paperwork and travel expenses on a monthly basis . Submit accurate sales projections by week, month, quarter and year as requested by management . Develop a complete understanding of the brand and the markets it serves with each vehicle including the magazine, conferences, and digital products . Be able to conduct conversations with Publisher regarding territory, accounts, trends, problems, etc . Work with Publisher on new sales strategies, promotional ideas, circulation ideas, or any areas affecting the market . Handle the responsibilities of an advertising coordinator for the guides and publications . Develop new business strategies while working with management to acquire selected target accounts.
