Industry Publishing Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 104959BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description ESSENCE.COM, the premiere lifestyle, news and entertainment web site for African- American women, is seeking a Online Producer. In March Essence announced a multimedia partnership with Warner Brothers that includes a redesign and relaunch of its web property, which will serve as a platform for our rich content, and an outlet for exciting original short-form video, specifically for black women. Online management is seeking a skilled web producer to meet the needs of the Essence.com user. Requirements: .Mac and PC literate .Efficient time management skills .Detail-oriented and organized .Experienced producing web content with various content management system .Image optimization skills using Photoshop .Exceptional computer skills and familiarity with online media, including HTML, Photoshop and other applications. .Positive attitude and proven team player .College and/or university, with additional study in journalism or communications .Minimum 4-6 years in a publishing and/or media environment; with a strong understanding of publishing and/or editorial process .Excellent written and oral communications skills Responsibilities: .Provide production support in updating and revising existing online assets .Execute user testing and browser support .Create and deploy newsletters and email blasts .Answer all miscellaneous email sent to generic accounts .Integrate Audio and Video clips into web pages. .Setup and manage Scribble Boards and Discussion Boards. .Create Mail Form. .Create and manage polls .Write, edit and post original web content to essence.com including the homepage and channel page. .Aggregate and assemble additional content (RSS, Community sites and Blogs) .Ability to work independently as well as interface with a matrix team of online editors, producers, UI/designers, and others .Other duties as assigned
