This position may be based in Stamford, CT or New York City.%%0A %%0A Description:%%0A The Graphic / Web Designer will be responsible for driving a professional, brand-consistent look and feel across the enterprise portal, including communities, web-based applications and web forms. The candidate will bring a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge, working to improve the usability and attractiveness of web-based resources in collaboration with the enterprise portal team, clients, and technology and communications organizations.%%0A %%0A Responsibilities:%%0A%%0A * Creating and effectively arranging graphics, images and all other content into a creative, cohesive and visually-stimulating end-user experience. Advising clients on best practices in visual design, publishing tools, web standards and usability.%%0A * Participating in the creation of static and dynamic proof of concepts, layout and design, as well as the integration of designs into the portal framework.%%0A * Partnering with the portal business and technical teams in the design and coding of web templates, forms, and applications using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.%%0A * Overseeing the maintenance of design standards, guidelines, and best practices.%%0A * Creating and maintaining training materials, demos and help files.%%0A * Handling all requests for web-ready images. This includes optimizing and repurposing existing images for the web and creating any other images requested of the team.%%0A%%0A %%0A %%0A * Bachelors Degree in related field.%%0A * Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, experience. A portfolio of work demonstrating excellent visual design.%%0A * Very strong skills in XHTML/CSS.
