Position Description: Overview Worldwide top and bottom line responsibility for Product Management including coordination and communication of marketing for all Personal Linesâ?? Personal Property and Plus+ (Specialty) Products. Product Management includes P&L, product development, worldwide, regional and local marketing campaigns, direct marketing, target marketing and relationship management. Work closely with Field Regional Vice Presidents and New York Home Office Staff to gain agreement on and the implementation of all initiatives to maximize profitable Personal Lines production. Responsible for establishing and promoting a marketing driven culture that emphasizes the importance of profitable production and attainment of top line growth initiatives. Serve as communications liaison between all relevant parties, coordinating diverse requirements, expectations, and deliverables for Personal Property and Plus+ initiatives involving mono and multi-line products, â? cross siloâ Y activities such as OOC, relationship management, campaigns, cross sell/up sell, packaging, etc. Position reports to Worldwide Personal Lines President. Works cross-functionally within the New York Personal Lines Division, Other Home Office departments and Profit Centers, AIU Office of the Customer, AIG Product Development and General Management.
Functional Roles and Responsibilities â a Product Management â?? Maximize distribution and market penetration of existing products. Manage pre & post launch success of new products/product bundles. Enhance premium generation of new & existing products. Use segmentation techniques and metrics to target most profitable consumer segments. â a Manage the Personal Property P&L â a Ensure proper marketing message in conjunction with Marketing Manager â a Develop best practices and communicate successes and challenges â a Distribute premium results to distribution managers â a Manage all distribution channels â a Build premium of new & existing products through analysis of producers and products. â a Develop and execute up-sell / cross sell plans for Personal Property / Plus across all Personal Lines dimensions & across all Profit Centers â a Evaluate existing products for fit and positioning within target distribution channels â a Expand distribution channels for specific products as needed â a Analyze Distribution Metrics & lead channel focus â a Interface with all Functional areas including Underwriting, Compliance, O&A, Financial Planning and Analysis, Portfolio Management, Actuarial & Legal â a Assist with â? CATâ Y & Accumulation Management â a Interface with PL Reinsurance Officer â a Prepare and present product presentations to corporate clients â a Producer/Channel Product Training including development of materials â a Product Development â?? Identify new product opportunities. Manage the product development process across business functions and other Profit Centers. Ensure that new product and product bundle launches are properly implemented and executed. â a Research & Development â a Product Bundling/Packaging â a Define appropriate tracking metrics â a Generate status reports â a Identify product features and marketing messages â a Evaluate existing products for fit and positioning within target distribution channels â a Develop new product templates and customize product templates â a Define operations and systems infrastructure needs â a Coordinate underwriting guidelines and pricing for new products â a Identify channel ready distribution opportunities â a Manage new product information on AIU Personal Lines Intranet Site â a Distribution Management â?? Manage both internal and external constituencies responsible for delivering Personal Property and Plus production. Proactively identify, develop and manage profitable distribution channels. Including but not limited to improving results of direct marketing campaigns. â a Assist with the negotiation & development of web based distribution â a Production Campaign Management â a Completion of both pre & post Campaign analysis (P&Ls) and prepare informative and concise reports including financial analysis â a Proactive customer acquisition focus â a Prepare and present product presentations to corporate clients â a Define necessary operations and systems infrastructure and interfaces required to support campaign distribution mechanisms â a Track Key Performance Indicators for all campaigns including productivity, expenses, and overall effectiveness. â a Analyze Distribution Metrics & lead channel focus. â a Drive increased premium levels including higher Retention through cross-selling and up-selling efforts. â a Office of the Customer (OOC) â?? develop customer-centric programs to increase premium and maximize profitability for the Personal Lines Profit Center. The selected individual will drive profitable growth by increasing premium from existing customers, developing a process for customer relationship management and identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. â a Guardian of the Personal Lines metrics and database. Insure only approved access to Personal Lines database with appropriate business benefit to the PC. â a Create, implement and evaluate OOC initiatives â a Liaise with Operations & Administration (O&A) Manager in matters related to customer information and support â a Maintain an inventory of OOC initiatives and results â a Publicize OOC successes â a Lead data-mining efforts and developing market segmentation strategies â a Identify and support market profitability objectives â a Drive increased premium levels including higher Retention through cross-selling and up-selling efforts
Position Requirements: â a Education â?? Educate peers within/outside PC on Personal Property and Plus products, marketing function and profitable production growth. â a Communications â?? Insure quality and accuracy of all communications including collateral development, vendor management, print/production, advertising and public relations. â a Retention â?? Drive initiatives to improve customer retention. Develop an institutionalized customer lifecycle process and identify customer defection trends. Develop customer communications materials and the schedule to deliver during the customer cycle. Define customer communications schedule and initial data requirements. Insure all campaigns and producer contracts have retention component. â a Mobility â?? Must be willing and able to travel frequently and assume overseas assignment
