Pierce Finance & Accounting is an established professional services company with a focus on providing Finance & Accounting services to Fortune 500 companies in the NY/NJ/PA area, on both a consulting and permanent basis.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, trading, or risk management in a broker dealer environment (accounting and valuation for derivatives is preferred)
Candidate should have an understanding of valuation/risk considerations across a broad spectrum of products (CDS, FX Options, Rates)
Proven ability to work on large scale projects from a testing as well as requirements scoping perspective
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills in order to interact across teams, functions, divisions and regions
Strong technical skills in suite of MS Applications and an aptitude to quickly learn proprietary systems
Above all, a high degree of drive and motivation
Beyond the core Product Control role (including p&l production and management reporting), a few example responsibilities include:
Participate in the design and delivery of various technology solutions in cross-divisional projects:
Latam rates migration to strategic architecture
Rollout of various new products in local trading books
Implementation of a strategic reconciliation between Trading and Accounting systems
Conversion of Structured FX trades into Structured Rates model
New Product implementation - interact with various other groups (including Trading, Technology, Operations, and Treasury) to understand and provide feedback on a new products proposed by the business
Oversight for tracking and reporting issues and resolutions related to daily p&l production (and liaising with Operations and IT to work on permanent resolutions)
Provide input and oversight related to Price Verification and Fair Value decisions on a large portfolio of FX options
