Job Description: EXAMPLES OF DUTIES PERFORMED This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may be added, deleted or changed at any time, without notice. 1. Build consulting relationship with national ad sales and external clients that stimulate new revenue streams through creation of customized advertiser programs to capitalize on HGTV and DIYs unique market position. 2. Always be cognizant of the brand, protecting the brand at all times from inappropriate affiliations, confusion or undesirable image relationships. 3. Conceive new marketing opportunities, identify sponsorable projects, develop and implement specifically targeted marketing promotions when appropriate. 4. Interact with various media partners, advertising agencies and client personnel to develop and maintain promotional relationships. 5. Oversee the development of promotional material and merchandise for these campaigns. 6. Work closely with programming, research and marketing. 7. Work closely with DIY and DIY.com to provide services and efforts similar to the above list. 8. Performs other duties as needed, and as directed by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS 1. Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent required. MBA or MA preferred. 2. Experience: 5-10 years in Marketing/Ad Sales a plus 3. Equipment: Computer proficiency required with Microsoft Word and Excel 4. Skills: Must be a team player and possess strong writing, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work with corporate executives; must be multi-task oriented. Ability to work with public and with other office personnel in person and by telephone in sometimes stressful situations.
