Business Overview Operations & Services Group (OSG) provides superior customer service to Fidelity’s brokerage businesses through innovation, dedication and commitment to excellence. With seven operating divisions located throughout the country, OSG provides securities execution, clearance, and information management services to retail, institutional and correspondent clients. OSG performs tens of thousands of over-the-counter, listed equities, options, bonds, and mutual fund transactions daily. Position Description The Reorganization associate will function in the voluntary area and be responsible for evaluating and interpreting voluntary corporate action events (including tender offers, rights offers, Dutch Auctions, and warrant exercises). The function will also include the balancing of customer elections, and processing necessary for allocations in both USD and local currencies through domestic and international depositories and transfer agents The associate will correspond with internal business units on corporate action information, obtain and review event notices to determine proper actions and deadlines, reconcile and balance allocations received, reconcile suspense accounts and control accounts, and communicate with customers. The associate should also be strong in researching and resolving residual differences and assist management in guiding other representatives in the group. Candidates must have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, handle exception processing for various correspondents, and troubleshoot within the area. Many activities are time critical and the candidate needs to be able to adapt to changing priorities with a focus on time management to avoid risks. In addition, the person will be relied upon to identify and escalate issues encountered in day to day processing to management Primary Responsibilities * Receive and evaluate Corporate Action events for notification and processing of upcoming events. * Balance customer elections and submit proper instructions for allocations. * Research and resolve open items to reduce/eliminate capital charges and reserves. * Assist management in analysis of complex Corporate Action announcements, which may include currency exchanges. * Ensure accurate movement of money and securities within strict time parameters * To provide "World Class Customer Service" experience to our customer base. * Keep management apprised of any problems * Provide analysis that will disclose risk in processing and assist management in problem solving. * Trouble shoot within area

Qualifications

Education and Experience * College degree and/or 3-5 years of related experience required * 6 years or greater Reorganization operations experience required Skills and Knowledge * Creative individual with well-developed written and verbal communication skills. * Working knowledge of DTC processing. * Knowledge of Swift messaging and currency payments preferred. * Excellent organizational and customer service skills. * Flexible, must be able to cope with change and shift priorities. * Strong PC skills, ability to create EXCEL spreadsheets. * Strong research and problem solving skills.
