Fox Digital Media was established to broaden Foxs Entertainment, Sports and Inspiration brands and businesses online. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for formulating and executing the advertising sales strategy for the Inspiration Network, including aggressively driving advertising sales for its primary website (www.beliefnet.com), its growing collection of sites, display ads in its newsletters, direct email marketing and integrated sponsorships. Key responsibilities include achieving revenue growth, improving sales productivity, launching new ad sales products, acquiring customers, expanding business with current customers, and managing a budget. This position is based in New York City. Responsibilities: . The Vice President of Sales makes sales calls on top management and other buyers at leading brands and their advertising agencies. . Collaborates internally to ensure value to the companies advertisers including identifying and implementing appropriate systems, processes, procedures, and tracking and reporting mechanisms. . Defines, creates, manages and improves disciplined sales processes including: customer segmentation, forecasting, quota allocation, sales channel management, ad operations, inventory management, eCPM optimization/growth. . Effectively supervises and mentors the team members to develop opportunity pipelines to meet and exceed stated revenue objectives. . Directs sales team in developing sales plans for individual accounts and agencies. . Designs the sales organizations structure to ensure that it supports The Inspiration Networks and Beliefnets strategic goals. . Develops and manages compensation plans (and expense budgets) for the members of the sales team to meet cost-of-sale objectives, reward top performance, and retain and grow top performers. . In conjunction with the Marketing Team, ensures the development of appropriate sales materials and presentations designed to shorten the sales cycle and close business. . Builds and sustains a service-oriented culture of account management, client support and external relations. . Manages and maximizes all third-party ad-serving relationships. . Actively participates as a member of the Beliefnet senior management team, attending management meetings, assisting in overall strategy setting, and providing appropriate advice and counsel. Requirements: . A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible advertising sales and management experience required; . Strong management skills and experience leading teams of people through influence; . A demonstrated track record of sustained accomplishment and a strong focus on not only meeting, but exceeding stated objectives; . Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills; . Ability to build consensus, work in a dynamic environment, self-motivate, prioritize and maintain an abiding sense of humor; . Experience with internet-based media products, particularly new media / Web 2.0 media products; . A Bachelors Degree; . Deep relationships with key decision makers within both the agencies and client companies.
