Description: Job Title: Trial Attorney, Level III Function: Staff Legal Country: USA State: New York City: New York Description: Safecos New York City Staff Counsel office is seeking experienced trial attorney candidates to handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation. This position requires demonstrated experience trying personal injury, PIP, wrongful death, defamation, products liability, bad faith, errors and omissions and workers compensation matters. Admission to practice in good standing in New York is required. Applicants must be proficient in use of a PC including Microsoft Word and Outlook software as correspondence will not be dictated. This self-starter will represent the company and its insureds in all phases of litigation, practicing law in compliance with ethical standards as established by state law. Responsibilities include all aspects of case handling including but not limited to legal research, motion practice, discovery, depositions, settlement conferences, arbitration, ADR and trial. At least seven years of trial and insurance defense experience required. This individual should possess demonstrated case analysis abilities, a track record of proven case resolution skills and excellent PC, resource management, customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
