Description: Job Title Traffic Manager Auto req ID 923BR CBS Business Unit Showtime Networks Division/Station CBS Department Red Group Location New York - New York Job Description This position is responsible for managing a large volume and wide variety of print tactics and workflow; creating and overseeing schedules and timing of projects; routing jobs for signatures (to proofreading, copy, design, production, account) through each phase of the production process; managing internal quality control by flagging changes; securing extensions as needed; providing back up for other traffic managers. Required Skills/Experience Must have a full understanding of the print production process, electronic file formats and overall timing for creating and producing print, outdoor and collateral tactics. Must have the ability to create schedules and prioritize workload. Must have extensive experience working on traditional print advertising & marketing tactics.

Must be an effective verbal and written communicator.

Must be team player and should be able to work well with all departments including the Account group, Creative, Studio, Production and partners (clients), while working under pressure and juggling many different projects at once.

Must be a proactive thinker, always taking the initiative to anticipate needs and coordinate with other team members rather than waiting for direction.

Must have the ability to interpret account, creative and partner (client) needs and determine next steps. Should be able to represent the creative department to other departments when obtaining approvals.

Must have the ability to read and understand media plans and know the difference between due dates, issue dates and posting dates for print, outdoor, and unconventional media. Should also have a full understanding of the “media buying” process. Must have the ability to create and maintain relationships with publications to secure the best possible material extensions when necessary.

Must be able to use a Macintosh computer and work in FileMaker Pro. Minimum Education Level Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience Additional Candidate Instructions Must be able to solve problems under the following conditions: heavy volume of work, extremely tight deadlines, extensive approval processes, multiple clients per project, unclear project direction, timing constraints. All of the above create a pressured work environment that calls for mature initiatives and reactions. They must be flexible, approachable, resourceful, proactive, service-oriented, a clear communicator, able to take direction and cooperative to succeed in meeting these hurdles.

Must be able to balance the needs of the account group and client partner expectations with the flow of work to the studio and the volume of work with production.

Must be a team player, who can be the in the center of a wide range of people – creatives, production, studio, account staff, and other traffic staff, to ensure smooth work flow and communication.
