Position Purpose: The Technology Relationship Manager will represent the CIM (Cable Infrastructure Management) Group across RBC North Eastern United States (New York / New Jersey / New England states) by providing partners with effective and innovative in-building cabling connectivity strategy, superior customer service and quality delivery of cabling solutions. Key Accountabilities: Primary responsibilities 1. Act as the CIM Advisor for all cabling requirements: . Single Point of Contact/Issue resolution o Facilitation of cabling solutions o Escalation /Root cause analysis . Cross platform cabling strategy o Understanding/ tying business strategy to RBC cabling strategy/vice versa o New cross platform initiatives o Cross platform development / promotion of standards, policies, best practices o Provides connectivity expertise, cost control, co-ordination around project manager expertise in renewal of major property multi-tenant buildings initiatives. o Security cameras and alarms cabling management . Installs, Moves, Adds and Changes o Assist with move management planning and execution o Maintain existing cable plant database . Cabling Expertise: Facilitates Project Management process o Assemble team, facilitate meetings, establish scope of work o Assist in business case preparation/CIM approval o Review and approve layouts/budgets estimates o Share cabling best practices across platforms . Service provider management o Cross platform customer service ? Gauge customer satisfaction o Management of continuous improvement ? Consistency of processes ? Priority of issues across RBC 2. Assist the National Advisor in rolling out cross platform cabling strategy: . Coordination of Cabling Strategy and initiatives o Works with other CIM Advisors/S & T/ BU to formulate/roll out initiatives o Attends bi-weekly national conference and reporting to CIM Manager o Attends equipment and technology meetings as per project cycle o Leveraging technology tools at CIMs disposal to effectively manage cabling infrastructure . Service Provider Management o Introduce/manage controls (processes and tools) to ensure RBC is protected o Embed cabling best practices at both RBC/Service providers . Gauge and Improve Client Satisfaction o Manage/improve processes/tools to measure client satisfaction o Introduce/measure success of initiatives aimed at improving satisfaction 3. Act as the asset management coordinator : . Management of Asset Management Database o Maintain database of server and workstation hardware and software configuration and other asset details o Ensure database is updated with physical location o Attend weekly IMAC meetings o Act as an advocate across RBC for standardized and improved asset management practices and procedures .
