Support Services Specialist: * Provides advanced-level clerical, administrative, technical and/or delivery services that support and maintain the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. * Duties may include maintaining daily delivery records, preparing & auditing receipts for picked-up merchandise, preparing required reports, and maintaining accurate billing records and/or advanced-level technical support including assisting physical inventory of pharmacy supplies and equipment, performing wipes & surveys, and assisting with technical recordkeeping. * Monitors general pharmacy and facility clean up. * Packages doses and prepares cases for delivery, performing wipe tests & surveys, loading & unloading containers, and filling out shipping certificates in keeping with prescribed standards. * Audits and performs quality control tests and consistency tests on dose calibrators, area monitors, survey meters, and analyzers. * Audits and performs air monitoring tests, dose calibrator tests and geometries, and bioassays. * Orders pharmacy supplies and maintains inventory of materials needed to ensure an effective pharmacy operation. * Accounts for morning deliveries of radionuclides and unwraps returned cases. * Sets up and labels syringes, pigs, and containers, replenishes supplies and cleans laminar air flow hoods. * Ensures that dose packaging and case preparation is performed according to prescribed safety standards. * Assists in processing internal waste and performing basic decontamination procedures. * May assist in verifying out-going DOT packages, and distributing & storing radiopharmaceuticals in keeping with Federal, State, and Company regulations. * May visit customers to determine satisfaction with Cardinal Healths customer service. * May provide timely and accurate delivery of products to Cardinal Healths customers while using the safest and efficient delivery routes. * May assist in maintaining vehicles in proper working condition and performing minor roadside repairs. * May participate in training Customer Service Specialists in quality control procedures, equipment testing and auditing procedures, radionuclide deliveries and returned cases. * Performs any other duties as required to ensure a safe and efficient pharmacy operation. Manual dexterity; general vision, hearing; clear speech; able to lift up to 50 lbs; able to safely operate a standard transmission motor vehicle.

Qualifications Knowledge: * High School diploma or equivalent is required. * Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state in which the pharmacy is located and a clean driving record. * At least three years related experience in the areas of office, delivery, and/or laboratory support. * Understanding of DOT regulations, vehicle safety regulations, and radiation safety procedures preferred. * Must have thorough knowledge of lab procedures and be highly proficient in word processing and data entry. Skills/Abilities: * Ability to be courteous, to serve others and be effective in that service, and be dependable and innovative. * Strong customer service skills; ability to communicate with customers and others on the telephone, in writing, or in person. * Ability to read and follow maps and directions to customer locations; ability to use defensive driving techniques. Advanced skills in vehicle operation and safety, including ability to coordinate & dispatch deliveries and utilize effective routing techniques. * Familiarity with applicable lab equipment.
