Summary: The Senior Project Manager (NY/NJ)– fills three roles – delivery of Implementation Services for projects and accounts sold in the territory; project management of the territory accounts, programs, projects and events in that territory; and support of the sales team with presentations, curriculum expertise, follow-up, etc. Reporting to and under the direction of the National Director of Implementation Services, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing implementation for all accounts in the territory, by providing planning, installation, configuration, professional development, training and advocacy for HMLT products within the region. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for ongoing account management and customer satisfaction of assigned schools and/or districts. The Senior Project Manager will work with the sales team assigned to the region to present HMHLT and its products to potential customers, qualified prospects, etc. The Senior Project Manager will participate with the sales team in sales strategies and planning for the region. The Senior Project Manager will have a key local management role in the selection, training, coaching/mentoring and supervision of additional educational consultants and contract trainers as the territory implementations grow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:(Other duties may be assigned.) Implementation Services Schedules and conducts curriculum and management systems training for staff development of both internal and external clients and provides support to both as needed. Manages the assimilation of HMHLT software into the accounts, as well as the dissemination of information about new versions, updates, additions etc. Monitors site performance for appropriate instructional use to ensure customer satisfaction and promote expansion and up-sell into accounts. Facilitates implementation plans in region, district and school sites. Monitors and maintains communication related to site performance, effectiveness of implementation and strategies for continuation.
Project Management The HMHLT Senior Project Manager’s activity is comprised of the following tasks: * Leadership of the Implementation Team in the territory * Planning and Scheduling. * Review and oversight of the contractual responsibilities of both parties. * Maintain project communications and deliver to district. * Establish documentation and procedural standards for project deliverables * Prepare and maintain project plans for performance, where applicable, which lists the activities, tasks, assignments, milestones and estimates. * Project Tracking and Reporting: * Review project tasks, schedules, and resources and make changes or additions, as appropriate. * Measure and evaluate progress against the project plan. * Conduct regularly scheduled project status meetings. * Prepare and submit Status Reports as required. * Coordinate and manage the activities of designated HMLT staff. * Coordinate required outside resources. * Issues Escalation. Strategizes with team, Regional Marketing Managers and technical support team members to assess the optimal way to meet and exceed customer requirements, ensure satisfaction and develop and complete special projects which add value to our business. Utilizes current research and educational knowledge in working with customers to assess needs, develop and articulate goals, and develop implementation plans and projects for client school districts and school sites. Goes beyond training to create tools, projects and strategies supporting maximized effectiveness in implementations. Sales Support Works closely and seamlessly in support of the Territory Sales Team and as needed for territory initiatives, with the national Learning Village Sales Team. Attends strategy and key account calls, follows and supports pipeline build. Provides support with presentations and provides curriculum expertise to the sales team, enhancing credibility with the customer. Works directly with sales team to schedule presentation and sales support activities as needed. Attends and participates in assigned workshops and conferences to keep abreast of current products and educational trends.
Requirements
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university recognized for teacher training (Master’s degree given preference). Proven experience in Professional Development/Staff Training initiatives. Current expertise in instructional pedagogy. Mathematics or Reading education background preferred. K-12 teaching experience is required with rare exceptions. Technical integration in the classroom is valuable but not required. Ability to travel. Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite. Proficiency with applications that run across the Worldwide Web is a prerequisite. Supervisory Responsibilities, if applicable: This job has project management and supervisory skills requirement. Physical Demands: Ability to drive and/or fly to assigned school districts to assist in the implementation of the product and to conduct on-site training and/or sales presentations. While performing the duties of this job, the Senior Project Manager will be required to frequently carry/lift/move up to 25 pounds i.e. laptops, projectors and software. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Language Ability: No foreign language abilities are required. Ability to speak effectively and to coherently present information to groups of managers, teachers, customers and employees of the organization. Math and Financial Ability: Excel proficiency is required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and to accurately interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work both independently and within a team.
