Description: Sr Mgr-Vacation Programs, Strategic Partnerships AutoReqId 104869BR Responsibilities The Strategic Partnerships team is a dynamic and exciting team in the Consumer Travel Network (CTN) focused driving profitable growth and strengthening our Network by developing and growing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with the industrys best travel providers. This position is responsible for the strategy for the Vacation (Tour) business and relationships with the CTN preferred vacation partners. This individual will work in partnership with CTN Marketing teams, CTN Customer Experience & Service Capabilities, and key members of the CTN preferred vacation partners. Key Responsibilities are: . Developing business strategies to drive the growth of the vacation segment of the leisure travel business . Collaborate with the CTN Marketing teams to develop plans to drive growth of preferred vacation partners through all CTN channels . Drive development of new products and promotions in partnership with Marketing teams and key vacation partners . Negotiate CTN contracts with favorable economic terms. The contract responsibility includes travel agent commissions, annual marketing budgets and other contractual terms with vacation partners . Collaborate with partners through out American Express to leverage preferred relationships across the blue box EOE statement American Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills are required. Important skill sets include: . Excellent interpersonal and account management skills, including demonstrated ability to build and grow relationships . Creative problem solving skills . Experience developing and executing winning strategies . Outstanding relationship and communication skills with executive presence - the ability to effectively communicate with senior management (both internal and external) . Strong negotiation skills and experience . The will to win in a dynamic and fast paced environment . 3 years of marketing or vendor relationship management experience required .
