The team currently consists of five professionals with backgrounds in investment banking, strategy consulting, technology, and media. Our team is looking to hire a Business Development Manager or Senior Manager (depending on relevant background and experience) to start as soon as possible. This position will report to the Director, Strategy and Corporate Development and is based in New York City. The role would include the following functions: .Work closely with Platform As sales teams to identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities with major advertising partners .Work closely with Platform As ad operations teams to identify potential partnership opportunities for advertising products and offerings .Lead the structuring, negotiation and execution of complex advertising transactions and partnerships .Collaborate across groups to secure buy-in and drive issues to resolution that impact sales, operations, finance, accounting and legal .Work with programming and product teams to evaluate key partnerships and new business opportunities in those areas .Identify emerging industry trends (e.g., mobile, video, local) in advertising and key areas for growth; evaluate and execute on key partnership opportunities to enable growth Qualifications: MBA or equivalent. 4 - 6 years experience in traditional and/or digital media and internet industries, strategic consulting, business development/ partnerships, or banking/ finance Excellent problem solving, business communication, and analytical skills, and experience working in cross-functional teams both within and across companies. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written) with the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely. Excellence analytically with technical, contractual and financial issues. Experience in deal negotiation is a plus. The ability to drive cross-functional coordination and alignment around new initiatives to create both value for Platform A and partners is critical. Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy is paramount. Ability to maintain own work flow and meet deadlines. Strong interest in Internet, advertising, media and technology.
