Brief Description Detailed Description As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. Job Requirements Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Preferred Qualifications: BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience. Additional Details This is a new and innovating team working on a Next Generation Suite of GRC Applications and if you are up for a challenge and want to have an impact on the enterprise applications market in a very short period of time then this is a position that you should look into. Responsibilities: * Design and develop Web 3.0 semantic applications based on the state-of-the-art semantic tools (such as ontology engines, Oracle DB, GWT, ADF, etc.). * Work within a tight-knit engineering team on solving complex problems * Practice rigorous software development * Participate in an Agile development cycle * Participate in the full life-cycle delivery of complex software applications. Qualifications/Skills: * Technically skilled (Java and Javascript) * Understanding of RDBMS (SQL, etc.) * Desire to work in a high-energy and aggressive environment * Ability to work within a non-nonsense working environment * Affection and love for writing OOP code * Affection and love for creating innovative software * Strong desire to grow technically. * Thorough understanding of OOP and Design Patterns * Interest in developing business oriented software development * Some experience with modern development tools (Eclipse, SVN, etc.) * Heavy background in algorithmic design and mathematics Location New York, NY, US
