More information about this job: Responsibilities: .Fully responsible for entire product design process including market research, designing, sketching, specing; Ensure that product is designed to meet target customers fit criteria. .Possess full working knowledge of raw materials inherent to the intimates & sleepwear market. .Oversee all aspects of presentation from boards to prototypes to articulation of ideas and market direction; Make presentations to Design, Concept, Sales and Merchandising teams. .Work closely with other members of the design team to ensure a cohesive product line is realized; Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc. .Fully responsible for executing detailed development packages; Provide clear and complete direction (sketches) to Pre-Production partners. .Research sleepwear market trends and evaluate how they relate to the Dana Buchman brand. .Establish full working knowledge of lab dip procedure; Partner with Sourcing and Product Development in achieving desired outcome with fabric development. .Possess knowledge of garment construction; Partner with Technical team in achieving desired outcome. .Conduct fit sessions and help solve all problems that may occur during proto sample stage; responsible for final approval of sample fit to ensure production-ready market samples. .Provide direction for color ways. .Responsible for fabric and trim direction selection. .Maintain frequent interaction with Technical Design Department and outside vendors; Act as a technical resource for the pattern room in troubleshooting specification and/or fit problems. .Provide direction to Graphics team as needed. .Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design. 7+ years experience designing for the intimates and sleepwear market. Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color ways, sewing techniques, graphics and trim as they relate to the sleepwear market. Good understanding of merchandising as it relates to sales and store environment. Must be results oriented and very detail conscious. Knowledge of the retail industry/trends. Able to travel 4-6 times per year. Ability to communicate efficiently & effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
