Job Description: Job Summary: Scripps Networks, parent company of Food Network, seeks a unique and highly-skilled programming individual to help create and manage a new food and entertaining web experience for 20-somethings. Under the direction of the SVP/Programming, the Site Manager is responsible for implementing the overall creative voice of the site via cutting edge, "infotaining" site programming. Duties and Responsibilities: . Responsible for day-to-day programming of key areas of the F2 website, including the homepage, special feature packages, and other important sections of the site. . Responsible for insuring that all content produced and published fits the overall brand and site strategy. This includes providing creative direction to editors, producers, production companies, designers and other individuals preparing content (including, but not limited to text, graphics, audio and video). . Collaborates with Executive Producer to develop and program original and repurposed video content and series. . Represents site and its extensions in operational meetings and projects with including, but not limited to, editorial, production, ad sales marketing, consumer marketing, online marketing, press, analytics, research, creative services, programming, information technology, broadband, and outside vendors. . Integrates new products to launch on website, develops content for e-mail newsletters, and develops content for other interactive outlets, including syndication. . Reviews progress, manages resources, and endures overall quality of completed website. . Responsible for sites live scheduling, promotional planning, and performance tracking. . Oversees site performance via web-based tracking tools and keeps eye on competition and trends, implementing findings into the
HGTV.com strategic content plan. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: . Knowledge of web technologies, media production, web page design, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media. . Strong writing skills, specifically to fit the voice of the overall brand/site strategy. Ability to write strong, compelling headlines and lure the audience forward with words and visuals. . Promotional skills including metrics analysis. . Ability to utilize HTML and web content management tools. . Ability to assess and prioritize information. . Oral and written communication skills. . Attention to detail. . Ability to manage the work of self and others . Organization and time management skills. . Ability to multitask. . Personal computing skills including Microsoft Office Software. .
