Description: Title Service Associate III Job Description Duties and Responsibilities of Position: -Set up New Account applications and apply product knowledge and documentation supporting the different types of accounts (i.e. retail- individual and Joint, IRA, Trust, UGMA, Corporate, etc.) -Process all incoming account maintenance requests and / or establish new features such as margin, check writing, debit card requests and keep account information current -Process all requests and correct account alterations (i.e., change of address, add phone number). Maintain accurate logs of incoming and pending accounts -Contact Registered Representatives and customers to obtain missing information. Handle return items and forward letters of explanation -Process Welcome and Pin letters for a specific product allowing clients to process trades on-line -Track employee accounts and process trade reversals -Act as intermediary between specific operational areas and clients and registered representatives to relay vital account information -Handle work assigned by supervisors in a timely manner or within specified time period, including assigned documents on OnBase -Work closely with and maintain an understanding of all areas of the brokerage operation -Maintain required quality levels -Research inquiries by utilizing FBSI (NFS mainframe), Lotus Notes, ICM and available operational back up -Enter action requests as needed -Write business letters in response to customer complaints, inquiries, missing documentation, etc in accordance with compliance guidelines -Act as intermediary between specific operational areas and clients and registered representatives to relay vital account information Job Location NY - NYC Home Office Department/Division IPS - MAINSTAY NEW ACCOUNTS/VPSC POLICY ADMIN Position Type Full-Time Job Reference Code IPS2332 Job Requirements Requirements for Position: -College degree or equivalent work experience -Must be able to type quickly and accurately -Good written and verbal communication skills -Organizational skills a must -Good knowledge of different account types and the documentation that is required -Good knowledge of our different products and services Additional Comments: -Responsible for performing daily task in a manner consistent with management objectives and department goals -Ensuring that proper procedures and appropriate regulatory and departmental guidelines are met -Responsible for resolving problems and questions in a timely manner -Accountable for the information provided, that it is correct and delivered in an understandable manner -Responsible for improving overall knowledge of all NYLIFE Securities product and services and regulatory and departmental standards and goals -Responsible for working in a team oriented environment -Responsible for the resolution of errors made -Responsible for improving PC related skills, including knowledge of all business software application used in the area.
