Description: Job Title Service Assistant Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities -Establish and maintain high quality customer relationships - assessing customer administrative needs and responding to them effectively and tactfully -Transact financial and non-financial activity on client accounts, as necessary and within regulatory guidelines -Provide up to date information on product specifications, including features, performance, current generic tax information, account balances, pricing inquiries, and transaction/processing explanations -Maintain high level knowledge of all VPSC products and services, annuities/life insurance, qualified and non-qualified plans, product options and features and regulatory and departmental standards and goals -Maintain strong understanding of requirements of regulatory bodies including NASD, SEC, IRS, state insurance agencies, etc Job Location NY - NYC Home Office Department INDIVIDUAL POLICY SERVICES DEPARTMENT Position Type Full Time AutoReqId 3180BR Required Qualifications 2 years work experience, preferably in Investment or Insurance industry Basic knowledge of insurance/investment industry Experience with PC based systems and proficient data entry skills. Holds a NASD series 11, 6, or 7 license, or must obtain the Series 11 within 6 months of hire date Good customer service and listening sills. Detail-oriented, organized.
