Description: Major NYC corporation is currently recruiting for a highly qualified IBM z/OS/MVS Computer Operator for their Manhattan Data Center.



This is an opportunity for an individual who knows their way around an IBM Mainframe Data Center and is not afraid to work an evening shift.



To qualify for this challenging position you MUST HAVE:



* A minimum of FIVE years experience operating in an z/OS/MVS environment.



* Strong knowledge of Operating procedures



* Exposure to other operating systems such as WINDOWS or UNIX.



* Solid use of an Automated Scheduling package (CA-7, Control M, TWS).



* In depth understanding of problem determination and resolution.



* The ability to start up and shut down CICS regions amd a knowledge of LPAR's.



* Knowledge of JCL and Utility programs.



* Experience within an Automated Operations environment.



* Strong written and verbal communications skills.



* Open to working shifts.
