Responsibilities The Senior Recruiting Manager is a Corporate employee based in a field office within the NY/CT/RI/VT Market Group. This person will lead a small decentralized team of Recruiting Managers and Recruiting Specialists that align with a market group and P2 areas. The Senior Recruiting Manager will also have recruiting responsibilities within the local area. The Recruiting Manager will:: -Staff, train and lead a Recruiting Manager(s) and Recruiting Specialist(s)to ensure the consistency and quality of the advisor candidate recruiting experience and create a culture of results to meet both the corporate Human Resources and USAG organization goals. -Drive alignment among field leadership (SVP, GVP, FVPs, Managers, Implementation Leaders) to driving Area Office and P2 geography recruiting initiatives as part of the overall business plan. -Partner with field leadership to drive the P1 Market Group recruiting strategy to enhance P1 productivity and overall Broker Dealer results. -Ensure the recruiting implementation strategy integrates with the Area Office business models. Tailor local Area Office plans through deep understanding of local trends, demographics and recruiting opportunities. -Recruit high quality advisor candidates from various backgrounds through effective implementation of recruiting programs. -Ability to translate company value proposition and expertise into a highly effective and efficient recruiting process that yields business results (.e.g., overcomes objections, provides clarifying information) -Understands the companys diversity goals to drive diversity recruiting action plans -Responsible for the overall candidate experience, representing Ameriprise Financial and the brand. -Understand AMPF products, competitive broker dealer products, solutions and platforms -Assist field leadership in ensuring new financial advisor candidates experience a flawless on boarding experience through sponsorship and assists in ensuring a smooth on boarding experience for EAR candidates -Influence local recruiting team to drive recruiting processes and results -Understand compliance standards and guidelines and has ability to apply these standards based on the compliance history of the recruit -Effectively partner with corporate departments and field leaders to clearly define all roles and responsibilities in the recruiting process -Manage a consistent, high volume flow of high quality advisor candidates through active and passive sourcing methods -Build centers-of-influence to promote advisor referral opportunities with P2 advisors and franchise consultants to achieve localized recruiting sources -Support and champion a recruiting culture throughout the territory served -Use cold calling for continued pipeline sourcing of potential advisor recruits and referrals -Track results, identify barriers to success, and work to overcome obstacles to ensure each advisor candidate receives a seamless recruiting experience

Physical location of this position is open within the P1 Northeast Market Group. Qualifications Required: -3+ years of leadership experience implementing large scale field programs, preferably related to recruiting or sales -Strong strategic focus with the ability to translate vision into tactical process steps; -Working knowledge of industry recognized recruiting techniques -Outstanding relationship management, negotiation and teaming skills to communicate with all levels of the organization Strong proven leadership skills and demonstrated leadership competencies, with the ability to direct and motivate others to achieve aggressive recruiting results -Genuine customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations in serving multiple customers (advisor candidates, hiring managers, other recruiters) -Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to influence decision makers as well as manage expectations -Experience in local implementation, building sales or recruiting pipeline through referrals, centers-of influence, and network markets -Experience influencing people to accomplish business goals without direct authority; Work experience in multiple settings preferred (field and corporate office, or field and non-Ameriprise positions) -Demonstrates commitment to diversity and high level of cultural competency in establishing relationships with candidates diverse backgrounds -Ability to create and implement change, drive results and hold others accountable. -Support the Ameriprise Financial mission, strategies, products, and financial planning services. -Solid personal competencies, resilience, stress management, judgment, etc. -Commitment to diversity and sensitivity to differences among people. -Undergraduate degree Desired Qualifications include: -Required knowledge and work experience recruiting in financial services industry -Familiarity with the Ameriprise USAG field organization and advisor role, including business drivers, policies and processes.
