Apply for this job: Your application choices are: * Apply for this jobonline More information about this job: Responsibilities: Under the direction of DEA's Task Order Manager, this position is responsible for the overall direction and management of Project Management Oversight (PMO) functions for one of the major capital transit projects being undertaken in New York City by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Responsibilities will include reviewing designs, constructability and costs, bid documents, schedules, and impacts. Activities will include monitoring risk assessments and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports. Will have considerable interface with both the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) staff and the staff from the grantee for the subject projects, Metropolitan Transit Authority Capital Construction (MTACC), New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ). Will undertake studies on various aspects of the project and must document findings through the preparation of spot reports. May be called upon to oversee the design of modifications to existing transit facilities including stations and related facilities. Must be analytical to offer solutions and recommendations to support project goals and to meet the original intent of scope and stakeholder needs

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in civil/transportation engineering • New York PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocation • Twenty or more years of transit/transportation/facility project experience in all phases of design development: planning, preliminary engineering, final engineering, construction management, testing and operations start up • Ten or more years of project management experience • Prior experience with FTA project management oversight of capital projects is desirable
