Position Purpose: Hands-on supervision of a team of Product Control Controllers to support the FIC Trading Businesses with Primary emphasis on Credit Trading. Key Accountabilities: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Hands-on supervision of a team of Product Control Controllers to support the FIC Trading Businesses with Primary emphasis on Credit Trading. . Perform/supervise daily profit and loss analysis, reporting and reconciliations. . Work closely with the individual traders and the desk head on a day-to-day basis to understand the products and the systems that support the various inventories. . Ensure that daily P&L is approved by the Front Office and that issues are investigated, resolved or escalated. . Perform/supervise the monthly closing of general ledger accounts and ensure that the reported P&L is reconciled to the Income Statement and Inventory accounts on the Balance Sheet are substantiated. . Support and develop systems and processes to compute and report the daily statement of profit and loss. . Liaise with external auditors, examiners, internal audit and control staff and support completion of audits, regulatory examinations and SOX reviews. Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 7 to 10 years experience in the financial services industry or public accounting Strong Accounting knowledge of financial products including income statement analysis, balance sheet substantiation and the inter-relationship between income statement and balance sheet. Strong working knowledge of fixed income and related products/hedges (including interest rate and credit swaps and exchange traded derivatives).
