Description IMDb Inc. is seeking a Senior Online Sales Executive to join its advertising team. We are looking for someone who has existing relationships with key clients and agencies while successfully prospecting, qualifying and generating new business. The candidate will develop and cultivate deep relationships at the SVP, VP and CMO levels of Fortune 500 companies and ad agencies and should have a strong client and agency rolodex. Areas of responsibility include working with major accounts and their advertising agencies, articulating our overall business objectives and value proposition to the advertising community, and closing strategic advertising deals on the IMDb Web site. Our ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of outside sales experience and a minimum of 5 years in online ad sales experience at a major Web property.

Qualifications * At least 5 years of online media sales experience * 10+ years of outside sales experience * Proven track record of driving revenue through the development of long-term relationships with clients and agencies * Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery * Ability to convert national TV and offline advertising dollars to online * Experience with traditional market research tools, including @plan and Nielsen NetRatings is important. * Bachelors Degree required * Knowledge of the movie and entertainment industry is a plus. * Compensation includes base salary, stock grants, and a strong commission package Required talents * Demonstrates an ability to get through to a CMO level and have high-level business discussions and provides specific examples * Highly organized, uses specific systems and structure, demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects at one time * Self motivated and task-driven. Does not need to have their hand held in order to take action each day * Is not dependent on support staff but works well with them * Highly persuasive and able to negotiate. Assertive by nature although sensitive to buying signals and naturally seeks commitment * Has a clear definition of right and wrong and is driven to live up to the commitments they make. Takes ownership in their work. Desired talents * Competitive with themselves and others. Focused on reaching challenging goals and be perceived by others as a winner * Creative by nature and full of ideas. Eager to learn and demonstrate their knowledge to others. Does not wait for something to become a problem - proactive. Developed Skills * Be able to demonstrate a proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint * Be able to demonstrate a proficiency in using Nielsen research tools * Be able to make professional business presentations to all levels of decision makers Must Have: * Must have a college degree (MBA a plus) * Doesnt mind traveling at least once every-other-month to see clients/or coming to Seattle quarterly for sales meetings * Must have worked in the NY market either now or in the past year. * At least five years of recent online advertising sales experience in the New York market with proven record of personally delivering at least $5 million in business in recent years * Recently handled major online advertising agencies and can show record of YOY growth while personally handling those agencies. * Examples and proof of direct client relationships with major online accounts, preferably some that are currently available on Karens list.
