Description: Ideally regionally local NYC area Senior Network MPLS-TE Design Engineer candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a computer networking environment - 3+ years of which must be engineering experience in a corporation with a large, global network with real hands on experience installing, setting up and designing MPLS-TE which will include 2 years+ in design / implementation / troubleshooting core MPLS infrastructure on the backbone side vs on the client side for a midsize/large size carrier or service provider including or ran a private (not a carrier provided) MPLS infrastructure for a multinational Enterprise. The candidate must have a demonstrated expert level and hands-on knowledge of Traffic Engineering which will include some level of experience with RSVP, mVPN, VPLS, MBGP, LDP etc. CCIE (Service Provider specifically) or very comparable knowledge and work experience, is very highly desired, as well as LAN/WAN technologies including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, IPSEC, spanning-tree/Ethernet switching, TCP/IP protocol knowledge and Cisco Firewalls. Cisco certification preferred. The selected Senior Network MPLS-TE Design Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting network systems and solutions in support of the company's businesses.



Specific responsibilities:



-Participates in a support engineering team for routine and new


network implementation efforts.


-Works with engineering design/architecture teams to create


network designs and follows them through various stages to


implementation and handoff to operations.


-Provides support for problems escalated by the Global Services


Operations Center.


-Provides mentorship to other Technical Operations staff in


appropriate technologies, as required.
