10-12 years relevant work experience with a background in Shared Services. Capgemini U.S. LLC and its U.S. affiliates are Equal Employment Opportunity employers. Capgemini conducts all employment-related activities without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, citizenship, veteran status or any other classification protected by applicable federal, state or local employment discrimination laws. Capgemini U.S. LLC is one of the largest management and IT consulting firms in the industry. We offer management and IT consulting services, systems integration, technology development, and design and outsourcing capabilities -- all designed to help businesses continue to implement growth strategies and leverage technology in the new economy. The organization employs approximately 55,000 people worldwide and reports global provisional revenues of about 5.7 billion euros. For the possible Shared Services Strategy work at the client, we need someone who had helped clients migrate their backoffice operations to a shared services environment. Specifically, in this engagement, we need a Senior Lead who will help define a shared servies strategy that drives the client to decisions in the areas below. (minimum 3 days a week of active, visible onsite participation and more if needed to address organizational resistance, reviews, etc.) The Processes/services that should be delivered via shared services. The processes/services that should be outsourced. The locations of the shared services centers (US, Europe, South America, Asia, etc.) The service delivery model (e.g. SLAs, relationship managers, methods for buying services, pricing models, charge back methods, etc. The shared servies network design (e.g. decision on whether the client should go with global, regional, local centers, function specific centers, cross functional centers, etc. The governance structure (e.g. should there be a head of Shared Services. Who should they report to, what governance boards are needed, etc.) The transformation approach (e.g. how should the migration be structured, what organizational implications need to be understood and managed, what are appropriate timelines, etc.) A high level business case to outline necessary investments and benefits. If the client agrees to the strategy, the lead would have the opportunity to support them through the build-out and migration to the centers. Given guidance/expectations from the client, it will be important that this lead has the following. Experience in designing and actually rolling out a multi-national shared services strategy for $2-10B global firms. Experience with Finance, HR, Procurement and Supply Chain Management functions in shared services environments. Senior presence to operate at the CEO and BU head levels and guide them through a tough set of decisions in this area. Practical perspective on the latest thinking on BPO, regional strengths/weaknesses (e.g. should China be an option?) The client culture is very employee-centric and there is a great deal of anxiety at the executive levels that motion in the direction of Shared Services is driven from a strong base of experience and not "junior analysts". That is, they dont want to make "life decisions" for their associates on ideas and analyses on ideas and analyses not rooted in deep experience.
