Position Purpose: PURPOSE . Strategic management of designated portfolio within RBC to maximize returns and minimize costs, provide innovative solutions and superior customer service. . Single point of contact for Portfolio and CRE/Service Provider partnership. . Major Properties Portfolio management: RBC Capital Markets & Wealth Management - New York Area Key Accountabilities: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES . Lead clients portfolio of initiatives to create and maintain an effective real estate strategy that meets the business and cost requirements. . Manage the real estate and facilities issues for NYC and support local regional issues as they may arise. This includes the facilities at One Liberty Plaza, 3WFC, 711 5th St., 39 Broadway, 1211 Ave. of the Americas and 666 3rd Street as well as locations that seem appropriate in New Jersey. . Lead and work with the Business Unit to execute tactical steps required to meet short term and longer-term requirements, including development and prioritization of capital budgets . Working with the CRE team to establish real estate "benchmarks" to monitor cost effectiveness of real estate spending and identify opportunities to reduce costs and leverage best practices . Serve as primary interface between the Business Units and the Service Provider. Act as "issues escalation/ resolution" point-person. . Develops business cases and assists in PAR process. . Support real estate leasing transaction activity in conjunction with our outsourced real estate service provider CBRE. . Manage 3-5 full time and 20 outsourced contract staff: Burt Forrest(CBRE), Critical Systems Manager, Kevin Mutell, Facilities Manager and Susan Richards, Moves, Adds and Changes Manager as well as outsourced staff outsourced from Swiss Post and Mulligan Security. . Establish relationship with and act as the contact point person for day to day operations and negotiations with our landlords in NYC. . Support real estate leasing, project management & transaction activity in conjunction with our outsourced real estate service provider CBRE. . Responsible for mail room, receptionist, security services, etc. Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Required . Knowledge of / or experience in at least one Corporate Real Estate function . Experience in working in a corporate environment important. Preferred . Knowledge and experience in all Corporate Real Estate functions is an asset . Cross platform development Competencies .
