Job description As the global Cognos General Business(GB) Community Manager in the Market Strategy team, you will be responsible for creating and managing a virtual Cognos Global GB community for the Enterprise and mid-market segments of IBM GB addressing key challenges, issues and opportunities. The right candidate will have what it takes to drive outstanding execution on driving synergy and enablement across the IBM GB sellers and identify and execute the right go-to-market initiatives for the mid-market and enterprise with IBM GB. The Challenge . Create and manage a Global Cognos GB Community for the Enterprise and Mid-market segments of GB, work closely with the Cognos GEO GB leads to address and manage any key challenges, issues and opportunities . Build a strong relationship with the key IBM GB Stakeholders and work with the various IBM GB teams for synergy and execution across IBM GB Sellers, GB Marketing and Channel . Work with the Cognos GB Community leads and IBM GB team on GB account mapping and alignment/synergy of accounts . Identify and coordinate the creation of sales training material and collateral across IBM and Cognos teams to provide the right materials, messaging . Engage with the Cognos and IBM product and marketing teams to Identify and execute the right go-to-market initiatives with IBM GB based on the joint Sales and Marketing plays . Ensure Cognos is leveraged in all aspects of GB - marketing, sales, channel . Identify and coordinate general business operational reporting requirements The successful candidate will be a thought leader, spokesperson, and relentless champion both internally and externally to drive the GB Community, and must have the skills to work as a virtual team. Your Expertise . Undergraduate degree required; an MBA or equivalent experience is desirable. . Minimum 3 or more years experience in hi-tech organization . Experience driving growth in mid-market either at start-ups or large companies . Experience working with business partners and alliances to bring solutions to mid-market is a plus . Knowledge of business software applications; BI and/or FPM preferred . Experience/knowledge of IBM SWG and GB is desirable . Proven ability to drive market strategy and craft strong positioning and messaging . Excellent written and oral communications skills . High-energy, drive and self-motivated with a commitment to excellence . Excellent presentation skills in front of large or small groups . Willingness to travel .
